Alphabet Chant

In class, each morning when we have our morning meeting we also say our letter sounds in a chant. I've included the chant below. As the student says the letter, we also hold up the sign language letter for the letter. When we say the letter sound, we make a motion. As soon as I can record a student modeling the motions, I will upoload a video! We only do the letters we have learned, so currently we do Aa, Cc, Ii, Mm, Nn, Ss, Tt. When we learn a letter in class, if it has other sounds, then we learn those sounds that week as well and they have a certain place in the song too. Long a, e, i, o, u. Short a, e, i, o, u. Ch, Th, Sh. Eventually we will learn the rules for dipthongs and diagraphs, however these don't have parts in our chant. I do may posters for dipthongs and diagraphs. I will put those posters on here when we make them in class! Your student knows this chant, so if they haven't showed you already ask them to tonight!
